After being in contact with the family of the lady for whom this snowdrop was named it would appear that we have been spelling her name incorrectly; it should be Mrs Macnamara, not Mrs McNamara.

This snowdrop, without question, is highly prized by all that grow it, not only for the early flowering, but also for the elegantly shaped flowers
